Emily Rayson grew up in the Internet world. She started out at The Bulldog Group in 1992, one of Toronto's first New Media agencies, as an Account Manager selling and managing projects that used technology as a delivery mechanism for marketing and communication. Technology at that time included CD-ROM's, kiosks, laptop presentations and then the Internet. From there, she joined PointCast Canada as General Manager, launching the first ‘push' application in the country. When that folded, she decided to become an independent consultant, working across the publishing and media industries for 3 years on content plans, ecommerce strategies, large enterprise-wide web development projects and online advertising models. She missed the thrill of being a part of a team and so joined GreyInteractive as the co-Managing Director and successfully rebranded and rebuilt that agency focusing efforts on being an online advertising agency. From there, she was recruited to become the Managing Director of Organic, a standalone web development and online marketing company. Under her management, the agency grew to double its size and was profitable 18 months later. She stepped away from a full-time agency role preferring to spend time working on a variety of interactive projects and clients including online business strategies and modeling, technology and online marketing initiatives and commerce activity.

Emily holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, is one of the co-founders of AIMS Canada and is a past contributor to Marketing Magazine.
